Our Pumpkin Protein is sourced internationally from certified organic growers. We import dried seeds and cold press them to extract the oil and proteins. Pumpkin Seed Oil
Our pumpkin seed is sourced internationally from certified organic growers. We import dried seeds and cold press them to extract the oil and proteins. The cold-pressed oil has an enthusiastic following among both wellness and natural beauty communities. Pumpkin seed oil has been suggested for both inner and outer beauty, thanks to its rich vitamin A and E, omega 3 and 6 fatty acids, zinc, and a host of potent antioxidants.
Hemp Protein (35%, 43%, 50%)
Our hemp seed is sourced from both conventional and organic growers across Canada where hemp production has been allowed since 1998. All of our hempseed products are manufactured from varieties of Cannabis Sativa that do not contain significant amounts of THC, the psychoactive element present in the cannabis plant. The seed cake produced from our cold-pressing process of the hemp seed is milled to produce a nutrient rich protein powder, available in varying concentrations of 35%, 43% and 50%.
Canada is the largest producer of flaxseed in the world, and we source all of our flaxseed from conventional and organic growers across the Canadian Prairies. Our flaxseed is cold-pressed to extract the oil, leaving a protein-rich seed cake. This seed cake is then cold-milled into a nutrient rich protein powder, containing both omega-3 ALA and fiber.
Canada is the largest producer of flaxseed in the world, and we source all of our flaxseed from conventional and organic growers across the Canadian Prairies. Our flax oil is cold-pressed using a proprietary method that allows us to produce the best tasting oil possible and protect the important omega-3 ALA fatty acids. After cold-pressing the flaxseed, our oil is then filtered to ensure the best clarity possible.
Our creamed coconut is produced from internationally sourced, sustainably farmed coconuts. The white flesh of the coconut is dessicated, dried, and milled to an ultra-fine, creamy, off-white paste. We package this paste fresh, ready for the consumer.
Coconut Oil – Virgin
At Food4Change, our virgin coconut oil is derived from fresh coconuts and extracted through a cold press process. Unrefined, unbleached, Hexane free, made from non-GMO coconuts, and packaged for consumers at our Canadian facility.
Coconut Oil – RBD
At Food4Change, our “Refined, Bleached, and Deodorized” (RBD) oil is obtained from dried coconut kernel, which is cold pressed to extract the oil. This yields practically all of the oil present, amounting to more than 60% of the dry weight of the coconut. This oil is then processed with organic clay to produce a product with no coconut taste or aroma. The oil is then filtered to produce a high quality refined product.
Coconut Oil – MCT
Coconut oil is a superior source of medium triglycerides (MCT). Due to their shorter length, MCTs are easily digested and many health benefits are linked to the way your body processes these healthy fats. Approximately 65% of the fatty acids in coconut oil are MCT. These medium-chain fatty acids are essential for good health and are used in the body in a variety of ways.
Our coconut flour is obtained from dried coconut meat, sourced from international sustainable farms. The meat is cold pressed at our facilities to yield the oil and the cake. This cake is then coldmilled to produce our nutrient-rich coconut flour. Coconut flour a favorite amongst paleo dieters, gluten free eaters, anyone with a nut allergy, and everyone in between.
